Stolen Wallet

I lost my wallet in the jeepney Wednesday last week. I was worried sick about it because all my identification cards were there. I had about P300+ inside but I didn't care much about the money. It's the IDs that I badly wanted to be returned

God is so good.

My wallet was returned sans the money (of course) yesterday. It was returned by a Christian pastor through Bombo Radyo (a local radio station).

I was bombodized!!!

Prayers are indeed powerful.

Crush

It's natural for a female teacher to have a crush on her student, right? Especially if that student is tall, dark, and handsome, right?

Right.

I'm telling that to myself.

I hate to admit this but I got a crush on my student.

Undressed

I find this story cute. I told my mom and my sister about this. They had a good laugh so I don’t really mind sharing this to you.

Last summer, I taught a merged college class of 72 students. It was a fun group and most of my students were really smart. When the class eventually ended for the summer, one of my male students would still enthusiastically greet me whenever he sees me in the campus. Once, he said he misses me. Well, I miss their class, too. In fact, it’s one of the best classes I ever handled.

Around the last week of May, the family of our high school student who recently passed away invited us (her teachers) for a dinner at their house. It was only I and my other female co-teacher who were available but we decided to brave the 30-minute travel, anyway. When we arrived at the deceased student’s house, most of our students were also there and a handful of their neighbors. One of those neighbors was a familiar girl I often see in the campus. She casually introduced herself that she’s a freshman student in West and that her three other siblings are also studying there; one’s an elementary pupil, the other’s an incoming college freshman and the eldest is an incoming education junior. When she mentioned their names, I told her that her eldest brother was actually my student during the summer.

She responded with a glee and immediately texted the brother to come over because she’s got a “surprise” for him.

When the brother came, he greeted me with a hello and the sister asked him, “Can you tell me again, who your crush is?”

To make it short I found out that I was his crush (yep, he’s the same boy who said he misses me). How his sisters got to know was that during summer he kept telling his mom that he’s got a crush on one of their teachers. They demanded to know who the teacher crush is. They said he only described me as “fair,” “short,” and well, “smart.” (I should be smart, after all, I was his teacher, heehee).

The cutest part was that when I bade him goodbye he was so red and he wouldn’t even look at me. He was also angry that his sisters spilled the beans.

I went home with a silly smile plastered on my face. The only student I know who got a crush on me was this 5th grade boy I once taught in a Chinese school.

This one’s a college student and a smart and handsome boy, too. And if you’re wondering about the title, that’s actually the name he wrote on his nametag on the first day of summer class. Actually, that’s how his name sounds just with a different spelling.

Ha-ha! What a smart kid.
