Down with the Flu

I have been absent for two days now. I caught a nasty flu last week. My OB said I should take Biogesic every 6 hours and Cecon twice a day. Because I'm a medicine-phobic and because I thought it might harm my 17 week-old fetus, I only took Cecon. I got the flu Thursday last week but by Friday I still went to school. My body felt like giving up that time, but I stayed in school until 5 PM still. By Saturday, my husband arrived from Singapore and he urged me to take Biogesic. I still didn't even if I was obviously getting worse. I just took the medicine by Sunday with still a lot of urging from my husband. Yesterday (Monday), I decided  not to go to school because of the headache and the occasional cough plus a sore throat. I texted my OB about it and she prescribed Amoclav every 12 hours. This time, I did't have any choice but to take it, otherwise, it might boil down to pneumonia and that's the last thing I need now. Today is Tuesday, and I'm taking advantage of this day to be absent from my class, so I could rest.

I learned my lesson from this incident which is the earlier you take your medication, the better the prevention will be. I will religiously take my medications from now on.
